Thank you for purchasing from Wachana (wachana.com). This Refund Policy explains how refunds, returns, and cancellations are handled for purchases made through our website. By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Digital Products (E-books, PDFs, EPUBs)
Due to the nature of digital products, all sales of downloadable e-books, PDFs, EPUBs, and other digital content are final and non-refundable once the download link has been accessed or the file has been delivered to your email.
A refund may be issued in the following circumstances:
- You were charged more than once for the same product due to a technical error.
- The file you received is corrupted, incomplete, or materially different from what was described on the product page, and we are unable to provide a working replacement.
- You did not receive the download link or file within 24 hours of purchase, and our team is unable to resolve the delivery issue.
2. Physical Books and Printed Materials
We accept returns and issue refunds for physical books and printed materials under the following conditions:
- Damaged or defective items: If your order arrives damaged, misprinted, or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photographs of the damage. We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no additional cost to you.
- Incorrect item: If you receive an item different from what you ordered, contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange for the correct item to be sent or issue a full refund.
- Change of mind: We do not accept returns or issue refunds for change-of-mind purchases on physical books, as our titles are printed in limited runs.
Returned items must be in their original, unused condition. Shipping costs for returns due to damage or error will be borne by Wachana. Return shipping for any other reason is the responsibility of the buyer.
3. Workshop and Event Registrations
- Cancellation by participant (7+ days before the event): A full refund will be issued, minus any payment gateway processing fees.
- Cancellation by participant (less than 7 days before the event): A 50% refund will be issued. Alternatively, you may transfer your registration to another person at no charge.
- Cancellation by participant (on the day or no-show): No refund will be issued.
- Cancellation by Wachana: If we cancel a workshop or event for any reason, all registered participants will receive a full refund within 7 business days.
Refunds for workshops and events will be processed to the original payment method.
4. Competition Entry Fees
Entry fees for the Wachana Short Story Prize and any other competitions are non-refundable once your submission has been received and confirmed. If you experience a technical issue preventing submission during the open submission period, please contact us and we will assist you in completing your entry.
5. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please email us at hello@wachana.com with the following information:
- Your full name
- Order number or transaction reference
- Date of purchase
- Reason for the refund request
- Supporting evidence, if applicable (e.g. screenshots, photographs of damage)
We aim to acknowledge all refund requests within 2 business days and process approved refunds within 7 business days.
6. Refund Method
Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take an additional 5–10 business days for the refund to appear in your account. Refunds for Cash on Delivery orders will be processed via bank transfer to an account you provide.
