Shipping and Delivery

This Shipping and Delivery Policy explains how Wachana (wachana.com) handles the delivery of digital and physical products purchased through our website. By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Digital Products (E-books, PDFs, EPUBs)

Digital products are delivered electronically. No physical shipping is involved.

  • Once payment is confirmed, you will receive a download link via email and/or on the order confirmation page. Download links are typically delivered within minutes of payment confirmation.
  • Download links remain active for 72 hours and may be used a limited number of times. If your link expires or you encounter any issues accessing your download, please contact us at hello@wachana.com and we will resend your files promptly.
  • Digital products are available in PDF and/or EPUB format as indicated on the product page. Please ensure your device supports the chosen format before purchasing.
  • If you do not receive your download link within 24 hours of a confirmed payment, please check your spam or junk folder first, then contact us for assistance.

2. Physical Books and Printed Materials

  1. a) Order processing
  • Orders for physical products are processed within 3–5 business days of receiving payment confirmation. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.
  • You will receive an order confirmation email once your order has been placed. A separate notification will be sent when your order has been dispatched, which may include a tracking number where available.
  1. b) Domestic shipping (within Sri Lanka)
  • Domestic orders are shipped via Sri Lanka Post (registered post) or a private courier service at our discretion.
  • Estimated delivery times for domestic orders are 3–7 business days from the date of dispatch, depending on your location. Deliveries to remote areas may take longer.
  • Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on the weight of your order and your delivery location. Any applicable shipping fees will be clearly displayed before you confirm your order.
  • Free shipping promotions may be offered from time to time at our discretion and will be clearly advertised on our website or social media channels.
  1. c) Cash on Delivery (COD)
  • Cash on Delivery is available for physical orders delivered within Sri Lanka. Payment must be made in full in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) to the delivery person at the time of delivery.
  • If a COD order cannot be delivered because the recipient is unavailable or refuses the delivery, we may contact you to arrange a second delivery attempt. Repeated failed deliveries may result in the order being cancelled.
  1. d) International shipping
  • At this time, international shipping of physical products is available on a case-by-case basis. If you are located outside Sri Lanka and wish to purchase a physical book, please contact us at hello@wachana.com before placing your order so we can provide you with a shipping quote.
  • International customers are encouraged to purchase our digital editions (e-books), which are available for instant download worldwide with no shipping costs.
  • Any customs duties, import taxes, or additional charges levied by the destination country are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Wachana has no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount.

3. Workshop and Event Registrations

Workshops and events are held at physical venues or online as specified on the event listing page. No physical delivery is involved.

  • Upon successful registration and payment, you will receive a confirmation email containing the event details, including the date, time, venue address or online meeting link, and any materials you may need.
  • For online workshops, joining instructions and any relevant links will be sent via email at least 24 hours before the event.

4. Delivery Address and Accuracy

  • It is your responsibility to provide a complete and accurate delivery address and a valid contact number at the time of placing your order.
  • Wachana is not responsible for orders that are delayed, lost, or returned due to incorrect or incomplete address information provided by the buyer.
  • If you need to change your delivery address after placing an order, please contact us as soon as possible at hello@wachana.com. We will do our best to accommodate the change, but we cannot guarantee it if the order has already been dispatched.

5. Delivery Delays

  • While we make every effort to deliver orders within the estimated timeframes, delivery dates are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, including postal service delays, adverse weather, natural disasters, public holidays, or other unforeseen events.
  • If your order has not arrived within 14 business days of dispatch (for domestic orders), please contact us and we will investigate the matter with the shipping provider.

6. Lost or Damaged Shipments

  • If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photographs of the damaged item and packaging. We will arrange a replacement or full refund in accordance with our Refund Policy.
  • If your order is confirmed lost by the shipping provider, we will either resend the order at no additional cost or issue a full refund at your preference, subject to stock availability.

7. Order Tracking

Where tracking is available, a tracking number will be shared with you via email once your order has been dispatched. Please note that tracking may not be available for all shipping methods, particularly for standard Sri Lanka Post deliveries.
